“How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!” (Ro. 10:14-15)

I pray this letter finds you all well and enjoying a wonderful start to the summer! Things have been busy for us both personally and ministry wise since our last letter. I will try to explain some of what has happened over the last three months.
In our last report letter, I discussed the difficulties in evangelizing in Spain because of the postmodern and post-Christian culture. While this is most certainly the case, God has not closed the door of opportunity for this nation to repent and believe on Christ. Despite the difficulties, we are continuing to attempt to let our light shine. Because of this, over the last three months the Lord has given us opportunities to get into the lives of some new acquaintances. These opportunities have come from our involvement in Hannah’s and Miriam’s swimming club. Just over a month ago, we were able to finally meet and talk with the parents of one of Miriam’s teammates. Sheila was able to initiate the conversation and was taken aback by a comment the father of this girl made. He told Sheila that he had been watching us and wanted to know if we were evangelical Christians, as he was converted in by the Brethren church but now leans more towards Baptist beliefs! This completely changed the conversation and caused this couple to ask if we could meet again outside of swimming competitions to talk more. This has been very refreshing and needed for us as it is easy to get discouraged not seeing any tangible results. However, it appears that the Lord may be opening a door of opportunity, so we ask that you please pray for this couple and for us that the Lord will give us opportunity with them, as well as open the door of opportunity with others, to share the gospel for His glory!
Thank you again for all your prayers for us, your support, and your e-mails of encouragement. We truly appreciate your involvement in the ministry in Spain.
In Christ,
Nathan Wheatley
